Yin Tang was a legendary character from an age of the Ming
Dynasty, from 1470-1523.
He was a very talented painter and
calligrapher, who liked travelling, and did nothing to flatter
his seniors, and had great disregard for the artificial things of life.
one day he met a maid, her name was "Qiu xiang", and in ancient
China, it was not allowed for a master to marry a servant.
So to overcome this obstacle he sold himself to the officer's home
where the girl worked, and became a servant, it was only now that
at last he could marry the girl, and not as a concubine, but
simply as his wife.
The song of the peach
There is a shabby house by the pier of peach
there is a happy guy within the reach,
the man plants the peach trees,
to get some wine by plucking the peach.
He is sitting idly under the peach tree when he is not
drinking,
when he is drunk, under the peach, soundly sleeping,
day after day, half conscious, half drunk,
year after year, flowers blossoming, flowers withering.
I wish I could die under the peach tree,
rather than served the government and bow to others and orders to
obey,
the upper class pursue the wealth and prominence,
while the flowers and the wine are what I would like to
pay.
If compare the wealth to the poverty,
just like heaven and hell, I would say,
if compare the poor with the rich,
they become prominent and I am free, nothing to obey.
They laugh at me, I am a fool,
I also think they are dull,
Have you seen the Royal Grandeur Mausoleum,
became the arable land, all these are vanity, after all.
